The influenza A–associated hospitalisation was higher in the 2014/15 season, particularly for OAH residents. Although the
number of deaths was 3 fold higher, the mortality was similar for the 2 seasons. The upsurge in admission in 2014/15 concurrent with the mismatching of vaccine provided indirect evidence for the efficacy of the vaccination programme.
