Il comprend neuf modules d'enseignement de quatre le�cons ax�es sur les concepts cl�es de l'ECD/EDH. Les plans des le�cons donnent progressivement des instructions, comprennent des fiches pour les �el�eves et des informations g�en�erales pour les enseignants. Cet ouvrage convient aux nouveaux enseignants ou enseignants stagiaires ainsi qu'aux enseignants suivant une formation continue dans le domaine de l'ECD/EDH. Il int�eresse �egalement les enseignants plus exp�eriment�es par la richesse de ses id�ees et des mat�eriaux p�edagogiques qu'il contient. Tout en fournissant le programme d'une ann�ee scolaire aux classes du coll�ege (secondaire I), sa structure permet une grande flexibilit�e d'utilisation.L'ECD/EDH a pour but de rendre tout citoyen actif, d�esireux et capable de prendre part �a la communaut�e d�emocratique en soulignant l'importance de l'apprentissage fond�e sur l'action et les taches.
