| Summary, etc | This paper presents the multiple nuanced ways in which Taiwanese Nutongzhi (Taiwanese lesbians) engage in resistance in a heteronormative society. It explores the strategies they use – such as playing “goodness”, manipulating normativity, pushing back, improving social capital and status, and constructing “Nutongzhi” – to demonstrate that resistance occurs not only at the level of social movements but also and, perhaps more importantly, at the personal level through daily interactions. Ten Taiwanese Nutongzhis were invited to share their stories of resisting social norms, heterosexual marriage, and the values that affect their lives. The findings highlight the complexity of resistance, where Taiwanese Nutongzhis fight back against the dominant heterosexual world. They engaged in resistance through nuanced diverting and reconstructing of the meanings of their bodies and values. The findings also indicate “co-existing with normativities” as the way of resistance. It subverts the position of marginalization. 本文呈現在異性戀常規性的社會中，台灣女同志如何以多樣而細膩的方式進行抵抗。她們的策略包括：假裝“優秀”、操縱常規性、反擊、增加社會資本及地位、及建構“同志”的意義。這些策略顯示，抵抗不僅僅發生在社會運動中。同時，更重要地發生在個人的日常互動裡。十位台灣女同志參與訪談並分享她們抵抗社會常規、異性戀婚姻、及生活日常價值的故事。本研究凸顯台灣女同志向異性戀社會反擊時抵抗本身的復雜性。她們透過細膩地轉移並重新建構身體與價值的意義來抵抗。研究結果也指出“與常規性共存”作為一種抵抗方式能夠翻轉這一群體的邊緣位置。 |
