| Summary, etc | This study assessed Asian scholarship in top-ranked social work and international gerontological journals, with a particular focus on Chinese older people. Two of the authors empirically assessed the abstracts and methods of six top-ranked empirical social work journals, and five international core gerontology journals. Studies about Asian scholarship in general were not well represented in the top-ranked core social work journals to any significant extent. However, there were significantly more studies of Asian populations, in general, and Chinese older people in particular, in the core gerontology journals. These gerontology studies were frequently cited in Google Scholar. It appears that social workers often seek out discipline-specific core journals to advance knowledge and research about Asian older people. There is a need for more diverse Asian scholarship and research in the field of social work. 本研究對當前排名靠前的社會工作與國際老年學期刊中的亞洲相關研究進行評估，尤其是關於中國老年人的研究。本文其中兩位作者對六本排名靠前社會工作期刊及五本國際核心老年學期刊進行了實證評估。總體上來說，關於亞洲的研究在排名靠前的期刊並沒有得到較好的呈現。然而，在核心老年學期刊中，對於亞洲人群特別是中國老年人的研究有顯著增加。這些老年學研究經常在谷歌學術搜尋中被引用。研究顯示社會工作者傾向尋求特定學科的核心期刊發表亞洲老年人的知識與研究。對此，將來的研究應更為多樣化，並增加社會工作領域的研究。 |
