Summary, etc 劏房(又稱分間單位)一直是社區潛在炸彈，居住者長期處於焗促的環境之中，既對身體及健康構成影響，亦是不少家庭問題的根源。此外，不少劏房亦是違規改裝而成，對樓宇的結構，住客的安全構成威脅，屢見不鮮。適逢政府正打算對劏房租務進行規管，新一屆議會決定撥款進行研究，更掌握區內劏房的狀況，實為創歷屆之先河。希望這份報告能令區議員各同僚以至各持分者、市民大眾都更了解劏房居民的狀況，並能最終對症下藥，於可見將來對劏房進行規管及改善，使市民大眾不論貧苦，都能最終獲得一個安身立命之所。
