This exploratory study seeks to uncover whether older adults with lifelong physical disabilities are buffered with sufficient financial, familial, social, and spiritual resources to deal with this double challenge. More dialogue should be initiated to prepare vulnerable older adults with lifelong physical disabilities for their old age before they are swept away by the tsunami of unexpected problems resulting in them needing more social support in their old age.
